Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 8 amβ6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Pressed Books & Coffee at (863) 603-3166; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Lakeland is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lakeland follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Iβve gone a couple times. The first was with a crafting club. Plenty of space and the drinks were delicious. Iβve also gone during a book crawl when it was crowded but still great vibes. Curated section of books, lots of tables for reading, working or studying, playing games or crafting. Great location downtown. Definitely a third space that we need more of around here.

A cute coffee shop with fantastic drinks and a delicious cinnamon roll. Got to try The Hemingway, and from the 90βs Summer Menu a Tamagotchi, and an Ice Cream Truck. They were all delicious! The inside vibe is fun and cozy.

I want to begin by saying that the service was really good today. The barista was sweet and kind. She offered advice on the menu and pointed out several drinks the shop offers right now. However, I ordered 2 standard lattes and the dial-in on the espresso was very poor. Iβm not a coffee snob or an expert by any means, but I am a barista at a local Florida chain and can tell what a good vs bad shot tastes like. My knowledge is pretty standard (Iβm not a pro), but I saw the shot pulling a heavy stream and only lasting around 12-14 seconds instead of the standard 26β¦ Because of this, the espresso was under-extracted and my latte practically tasted like plain milk. I also looked at the bottom of both my drinks and saw a ton of espresso grinds in the cup. There was maybe a whole teaspoon or two of espresso grinds sitting at the bottomβI almost thought it was cinnamon due to the sheer amount of grinds swirled in BOTH the drinks I ordered). Other than the issue with my drinks, the shop was nice. To be fair, I came in towards the end of the dayβI know the espresso dial in can vary throughout the day and the machines are super picky with things like humidity and temperature. Maybe I also

First time in. Great little spot for a coffee and plane to read. I'd more of a choice shop than a book shop but still a great vibe and great place to chill, read and work.
